Young girls today are being inundated with messages that their value is being defined by physical beauty, which can have a devastating effect on their self-esteem. Mommy, Am I Pretty? promotes a valuable conversation between parents and daughters and is the beginning of a very valuable life lesson that children need to learn early … beauty comes from within.

The book "Mommy, am I pretty?" has an extremely powerful message and I truly believe that it is a message that every little girl and boy should receive. The dialogue that this book will create between parents/teachers and our young children will be beneficial to all and should be declared a must read for all primary students at school.
The lessons gleaned ... can only have a positive affect on our young people that will also promote discussions amongst themselves in relation to their inner beauty. The illustrations are beyond adorable whilst also being specific to the message being sent.
Far too often children are subjected to bullying. This book promotes a very healthy anti-bullying thread in relation to both helping and including others.

Mommy Am I Pretty? is a fabulous "self esteem" trigger for very young girls - during that tiny age window before society and media begin shaping insecurities that can last a lifetime. As executives at a charity that among other things focuses on girls' self esteem through sports, we see the incredible difference that tools like this can make, if deployed at an early enough age - before the damage starts. Both the message and the images contained in Mommy Am I Pretty? are powerful - I loved it.

I really love the message contained in Mommy, Am I Pretty?
I have been in the modelling industry for over 36 years but have always understood that true beauty lies within each of us. This book re-enforces that message. I love the playful colours in the artwork; the illustrations are wonderful!!

Mommy, Am I Pretty? presents a powerful message for young girls. The interactive nature of the book provokes discussion about inner-beauty. Our young girls are growing up so fast that it is so important for us to be having these valuable discussions early to ensure that this message is clear. Beauty does come from within each of our hearts.

I will be anxious to have Mommy, Am I Pretty? as a required read for my granddaughters. The message teaches self-confidence, inner-strength and self-esteem in young girls. Kudos to Margot Denomme for making this message so simple for young children to comprehend.

Mommy Am I Pretty? provides a solid foundation of almost biblical like teachings – I wish a book like this was around when my kids were young. I cannot wait to share this book with my grand daughter. Not only is the message a powerful one but also the illustrations are ones that I would love to use in my interior design work. How fabulous to hang these in the rooms of adolescent and tween girls, they are so inspiring. I hope these illustrations are presented in a format suitable for framing. I am a big fan!

Mommy, Am I Pretty? is one of the most beautiful and unique children’s books I have ever read. The message of the book is presented to children in language they can understand and relate to. It is written in their voices. That, combined with the children’s artwork creates an experience for readers that is all about them and what matters in their world. As a parent, this is a book I want to read to my children.
